There's a Green Thing in the Garage!

It's kind of a big deal.  At least to me, it is.  It is GREEN.

And - 

- it's the first new car I've ever bought!

Isn't she beautiful?!

Wait, new car?  "New" as in, "new to you"?

Nope.  "New" as in "NEEEEWWWW."  As in "the latest and greatest."

As in "I have a car payment again."

I never thought I'd buy a new car.  Not ever.

But seriously, certified used cars are commanding close to the same price as brand new ones.  And I am NOT confident about buying off craigslist.  So if you're gonna have a car payment anyway...

...why not splurge on a cutie-patootie like this one?  Look at that sweet little hiney.

And at 40 miles per gallon, we're nearly earning the car payment in what Dave will not be spending on gas for his work commute.  Plus she has cruise control, so eliminate the possibility of a speeding ticket (on the highway, anyway).  

Plus she's just really fun to drive.

We will have a whole post devoted to celebrating the day we GET IT PAID OFF!

PS. The car insurance was interesting.  They were confused enough back when I told them that I had moved to Ohio but left the car in Texas...now I have a car in each place, so maybe they won't be so skeptical that I'm telling the truth.  The agent I talked to had a good laugh over it.
