The Bee

So I'm drinking my coffee this morning, and guess who stopped in for a visit?

Yes, literally stopped IN.  As in...IN my coffee.  As in...I nearly. Drank. Him.

So, I'm kinda proud that this is all the mess I made in getting the cup away from my face and back onto the desk and not, you know, flung across the room.
We are having a little issue with these.  They keep appearing.  In our house.  Like, all over the floor.  They don't seem to be able to fly once they get in here, and in fact they seem to die pretty quickly.  We think they're in the walls and coming in through the ceiling fan in the office (the one over my head).  They come crawling out onto the fan blades, and then they kinda glide to the floor (when they miss my coffee cup).  And then they die.

But...what if I step on one?

P.S. I know they're not bees.  I know they're probably wasps.  It's somehow comforting, though, to call them bees and not wasps.  But still...what if I step on one???

P.P.S. I take it back.  They can fly.

  1. If you step on one, it will not be the end of the world. I know this from experience. As a person who has stepped, barefoot on (not one, but) TWO live cockroaches -- what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. And with more nightmares, probably. :)
